BEWARE! All of the injectors are so full of fillers, they steal from the client and use the fillers in their faces. Ask to see the syringe before after.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

And beware when they transfer the filler from larger syringe to smaller syringes. Be sure and count each syringe or you will NOT get what you paid for.

The client is out the money and does NOT get the desired results. However, the injector has the remainder syringes and either sells them or uses them on herself. IT IS A RIP OFF. I am reporting them to every agency until corporate office does a extensive investigation and stops this atrocity.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The concept is great the downright thievery is a rip off. Everyone in that place looks like a plastic person, they are so overly injected. And after what I witnessed the injectors are ripping off the client to keep their own faces plumped up. Corporate office needs to conduct a sting.

AND stop this nonsense. You simply do NOT and I state again, you do NOT get what you pay for.

I agree with the above comment. I too spent over $1000 on Botox and fillers.

I did not see her fill the syringes. I actually could not see them after the service either because she covered them up. Any other place I have ever gone before actually fills the syringes directly from the small Botox bottle {hydrates the powder}right in front of you. I find it very sad and disappointing that this is happening.

They have no integrity or return clients for that matter. Live and Learn.....

National Laser Institute will soon be a "business" of the past. We can only hope.

Not A School A Scam

National Laser Institute Is NOT A School with any type of accreditation, This is place is a COMPLETE SCAM, They are selling a Line OF *** to justify them Steeling your money.

My 18 daughter was lured into the scam, She is enrolled in a local cosmetology and aesthetic class and wanted to get laser accreditation as well, She contacted the N.L.I and was Directed to a Marty an Admissions Adviser. Marty informed her about what they offer and availability of classes, what she will learn, where and how she can earn easy money just doing this part time alongside of her aesthetic practice.

Also informed her that in our state she can practice anywhere without a license, unlike cosmetology & aesthetic that here in our state requires a license. My Daughter was so excited that she paid her class deposit and contacted me and told me all about it and gave me, Marty the Admissions Adviser's Info and the schools phone number to of course steel my money.

I contacted Marty the Admissions Adviser for National Laser Institute It took me 12 calls to finally talk with him due to each time I called the call would not ring but go directly to Voice Mail, When Marty the Admissions Adviser for National Laser Institute and I finally connected he greeted me with “Thank You for Calling Mr ****** I know you are calling regarding your daughter ******* and I will take that credit card number to clear up the balance so I can confirm your daughter for the class starting in April.”

I said Marty that is a way of answering the phone that I have never ever heard in my life. I went on to explain I was not calling to surrender any credit card or money at this time, because I have many questions that I would like info from you on before any balance is paid. I went on to ask him about what they offered what the total course cost is, how and where will my daughter will be able to practice this skill.

I was out right Lied to by Marty the Admissions Adviser for National Laser Institute, I was told in the state we are in there are no laws or special licensing required and that she will be able to practice this new skill anyplace. I.E a local salon or a mobile laser hair and tattoo removal, he said the list was endless as well as the demand and income would be as well.

Then again asked me for my credit card number to pay the balance so he can confirm the April date my daughter had requested. I slowed Marty the Admissions Adviser for National Laser Institute down again and requested some references from recent students that had attended classes at National Laser Institute.

I was told that he cannot give our references and any question I have I can reference the website, I informed Marty the Admissions Adviser for National Laser Institute that I have read the website and what I was needing from him was recent references from real people that attended classed at National Laser Institute, not a web page produced, owned and marketed by them.

Marty the Admissions Adviser for National Laser Institute informed me that that is against company policy and any references I would ever need will be on the website.

( REDFLAG) !

I did my own research on our state laws regarding the use of a laser on the human body, as well as National Laser Institute over the following week, I was amazed at the outright LIE that Marty at National Laser Institute had told me as well as my daughter about the use of lasers in our state.

I discussed this with my daughter and she now had the facts of how/where she would be able to practice and utilize this skill if she decided to. She convinced me that she still would like to take the class so I agreed and made a follow up call to Marty at National Laser Institute.

Again after many calls from me and again the phone going directly to voice mail with no ring, Marty returned my call, again he stared the conversation with “ I will take that Credit Card number now” I requested from Marty that he fax or email me the enrollment documents with what course was selected as well as the total course cost and payments applied and balance due. My answer was “ I will email you your credit card receipt after your payment” I said No Marty I will not give you my credit card until I get a listing of what I am paying for and what credits have been applied. Marty the Admissions Adviser for National Laser Hung up on Me”

The following day I discussed this with my daughter and she was very disappointed but still wanted to get laser training, She spoke with Crissy Noble Director of Admissions National Laser Institute.

Crissy called me and of course gave me every reason you can think of to get me to surrender my Credit card payment and she however did email me what I had requested from Marty, which was a course cost with applied payments and Scholarship amount with outstanding balance. As for the info on references of recent attendees of the class I again was sent a link to the website and a link to enter my credit card info into Google Pay.

When the Google Pay screen appeared RED FLAG

My advice Stay away from this place. They want to steel from you

Thankyou for sharing your experience with this school.

I was considering getting this to add to my current license, but after

Reading your review and several others, I have decided to not get this.

Appreciate your comments!

Khadejah Dks

I appreciate your concern. If i paid good money for a training class only to later find out that my state i live in does not allow me to perform such treatments i would be upset.

VERY often people get misinformation about the regulations in their states so first thing i would like to do is to confirm the details and verify your daughter may not do lasers in your state as mentioned.

We record all phone calls and if for any reason a representative informed your daughter that she may fire a laser in a state that she could not do so we obviously will make things right.

Please be so kind to email the owner directly at louis@nlionline.com so he can look into this.

I apologize this is first time i have seen this posting and i want to make things right or clarify the situation as hopefully your daughter can, in fact, do laser in your state and maybe just received inaccurate information. I apologize for your frustration and totally can sympathize and want to take care of you.

Guest

Hello. I lI've in dallas texas and was looking into this school and I found your review.

I was wondering what you meant when you said mart told you that you could practice anywhere without a license?

Is that here in texas or another state? Also if that were the case what would be the reason for getting your laser certification?

Thanks for your time I would just like as much info before I invest a lot of money into this program.

Steel is a metal.

Taking something is STEALING

Steal not steel.

*** Cherri, you need to learn how to write correct grammar. It should be "How can anybody take your review SERIOUSLY?

Not serious!!! Adverb you ***!!!

AND YES THEY ARE A SCAM!!

Guest

Seriously! Unless u can afford your own lasers from the sales guys that give their pitch each week then u must be a nurse or Esthetician & still.

U can get this training & hired just as easily without these so called credits . Believe me I know . I went there jan. had to go for Esthetician lic.

Graduates too I'm my class. My friend got a Job at med spa & was trained for free. Most dr only do this in nc.

Although I had 100 on transcripts this in no way was worth it.

Guest

You are special! Maybe you should go back to school and learn how to spell...

It's "steal" not "steel".

Retard... How can anybody take your review serious?

I apologize you did not get the result you desired. The ematrix is a wonderful treatment but its not for everyone.

I would love to invite you back to our medspa for a SERIES of complementary treatments to achieve your desired skin rejuvenation result as maybe a photo facial or diff type of technology would work better. Please email our client services manager ashlee@nlimedspa.com whom i already informed of this message.

National Laser Institute - Course Review from Scottsdale, Arizona

I wanted to learn lasers and begin a new career. On the phone they painted a good picture.

When i toured there, i spent more time in the break room and how they said they had designer coffee. I literally spent 12 seconds looking at their equipment as thats all they allowed. I had to tell the gal that this wasnt the school for me. I cut the tour short.

I chose another school that begins with N and made a great choice. Do your research.

Dont waste your money going to National Laser Institute

This school is a RIP OFF! They will charge you $8850 for 2 weeks of training. The Admissions Reps will fill your head with all sorts of lies about your career potential.

The owner, Louis Silberman, is a snake in the grass lining his pockets with your hard earned money. Unless you are already an Aesthetician, have a job lined up or the financial resources to open your own Med Spa, you will be standing on the unemployment lines before you know what hit you.

Repeat.. DO NOT waste your time or money on this place. They don't care about you They just care about getting more & more wealthy at your expense. Shame on them. They will all rot in ***.

We feel bad you have not been offered a job yet. However, please do not throw in the towel as this is a billion dollar marketplace and there are countless laser techs working nationwide at the thousands of medspas and docs offices that provide these services.

If its any indication of how big this industry is pfizer the creator of viagra recently offered allergan creator of botox 65 Billion dollars to acquire them as they want to enter this industry. Its always frustrating when we don't quickly achieve our goals and dreams but we encourage you to be persistent.

Did you know Howard Schultz CEO of Starbucks got turned down i think 265 times before he finally landed a loan to start his biz? We wish you best of luck

Guest

What exactly made it a "rip off"?

Guest

NATIONAL LASER INSTITUTE IS A COMPLETE SCAM !!! DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL !!!

A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY AND HORRIBLE CORRESPODENCE FROM ENTIRE STAFF !!!

NOT A VALUABLE EDUCATION WHAT-SO-EVER !!!! BEWARE !!!!

Guest

I agree. It's a two week program and most places won't hire anyone who took a two week program. Think about it.

Guest

I went to NLI and I had a good experience. The staff was knowledgeable.

As far as I can tell most laser schools programs are not long.

Not sure how it was a rip-off because I got certified by the state. No one ever promised me job, so I got what I paid for- an education on Lasers and certified.

Guest

I am a cosmetologist for 10 years now I attended NLI 1 year ago and still no job will even consider me since im not an esthetician.

Guest

Yep! They are greedy theives and liars!!!!

Rip Off!!

User Rating: 1 out of 5 stars

by Becca 05/19/2010

I am very disappointed. I saw an ad on Craigslist for a free tattoo removal, and after contacting them, found that it was just a free consultation and free 1st treatment. I went ahead with making an appointment, but was unable to make my scheduled time. They have a 48-hour cancellation policy, and when I sheduled my appointment I was already within that 48-hour window. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I was unable to make my scheduled appointment, and had the choice to go in later or be charged $100! So, they are charging me for not taking advantage of a free offer!! This is not the behavior of a reputable company. Due to the way they run their business and the "policy" the representative quoted, I would not give them the pleasure of your business or time.

National Laser Institute is SO legit- if you made the appointment within the 48 hour window you should have known the risk you were taking in being charged a late fee. The reason they have such a strict cancellation policy is because they are holding class for students who come from all over the country and pay top dollar to receive the best laser education there is AND practice on live clients- if you don't show up it is a HUGE pain for them to deal with. I LOVE National Laser Institute and questioning their integrity when you were at fault is immature.

Khadejah Dks

Sounds like a simple misunderstanding. We would love the opportunity to offer you your next 5 tattoo removal treatments on the house. Please contact ashlee@nlimedspa.com thanks and my apologies for the frustration

Guest

Perhaps you should have been on time for your appointment.

Guest

Then you should of shown up. The appointments that are free are for students in training demonstrations so you mess up their schooling schedule. Guess you will learn

Guest

Yep!!! They are a rip off!

Guest

Beware!!!! Rip off!

Don't go there... Paid a over a thousand for e matrix. No results. In addition I developed broken capillaries all over my face.

Brooks tech said it was my fault because I was using obaji products... They cannot admit fault.

They do not stand behind their services.... Wasted my time and money

Guest

I saw an add on the internet get one laser treatment and you will get the second free, so I called and scheduled an appointment they told me photofacial is what i need. I drove 50 miles each way , and the instructor said my face is too tanned and she can't do the photofacial , but suggested that I get a chemical peel at the spa and that should take care of the problem.

I paid $125.00 for light peel that diid nothing for me and they knew that. The place is a rip off!

Guest

The med spa isn't the least bit luxurious. They talk it up like it's so great, but you'll find better service elsewhere.

There are so many medical spas to choose from. I had a few treatments here and was not satisfied.

This is one of the worst spas I've been to. Honestly.

Guest

Jesse, I agree with you! There are a couple of other places I have found recently and will go there instead!

You can tell most of these posts are by employees trying to make national laser institute look good. Guess they have to since their ethics dont speak for themselves!

Guest

What a shame. I was thinking about having some tattoos removed from this place, but after reading so many BS posts written by either, employees, students, or friends, I think i will take my business elsewhere. I will never know if they do decent work or not, but all the fake BS posts let me know, that they are less than honest.

Guest

I called after going over their entire website and researching other schools & was talked to very rudely. My questions were not answered when I asked questions pertaining to what the site reads and then instead of my question being acknowledged & answered the female there started a shpeel, wasting her breath telling me each state has regulations- yeah, no *** Sherlock- Since when did we indicate I don't know how America works..? My questions about how to enroll were not acknowledged, and she hung up in my face while I was in mid sentence asking for Admissions.

Guest

I have been to probably 6 different medical spa's in Az and National Laser is the BOMB!! LOVE THEM.

Tecs there been in biz years, amazing personalities and quality of services/equip is best of best. Oh yeah forgot to mention their prices are lowest in Az by long shot.

Guest

I could not be happier this place is it! i will never ever go to any other place.

i am a HUGE price shopper and if i can find a place with great service/quality at same time i am sold for life! National Laser won me over big time.

Guest

I checked this place out and it was a great deal. If you want the poshness of Scottsdale without paying a bundle, I'd check it out.

Guest

I went to the National Laser Institute to get an old tattoo removed on my shoulder. Not only were they the least expensive place I could find, but they did an amazing job removing it.

Shelley was really nice and made me feel really comfortable every time I came in for a treatment. I would definitley recommend them to anyone looking to get a tattoo removed or for other laser treatments.

Guest

I got spider veins on the back of my legs from knee surgeries i had when i was younger so i researched medspas online and found the National Laser Institute in Scottsdale who had special laser treatments that could remove them. In only a couple treatments they were completely gone.

I was really satisfied with my results and the pricing was really cheap. im going to have to tell my brother about the tattoo removal, he has one that got really messed up by the tattoo artist hehe

Guest

This is a fabulous med spa that offers treatments at discount prices. The techs are are also instructors in laser treatments so i knew i was getting the best possible procedures.

I would trust them to perform any treatment.

after getting to know some of the techs, and seeing their success in this industry it has made me consider education at national laser institute.

they really know what they are doing. Great place!

Guest

I saw the offer for a free first treatment, was also informed that if i did not show there would be a charge, i showed up got my free treatment and was so thrilled i have booked more! I also found out their future treatments were only $50 when market is like $200+ so no wonder this place is so popular.

Guest

I don’t normally comment on things online, but when I saw a complaint about National Laser Institute, a med spa I go to, I figured I should put something nice up since they have really helped me get rid of a skin problem that I was soooo self conscious about and thought you couldn’t fix without some kind of cosmetic surgery.

I had really bad stretch marks on my stomach that I wanted to get rid of. They were a dark red color, very obvious and I dreaded taking my shirt off at the pool.

I found out about the laser institute from a friend and went in for the awesome fractional laser treatment that they said helps with skin discoloration and uneven skin texture, great for stretch marks. After a few treatments, I could already see the stretch marks fading. Now, they are 85%-90% gone which is so great.

I went swimming with other people last week for the first time in years and no one even noticed. Tara was my treatment tech and she was totally helpful and made me feel comfortable every time I came in. I’m now going back to her for laser hair removal, which I’m excited about.
